Here is Babu Owino’s manifesto, it’s full of goodies


Embakasi East MP candidate Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino has unveiled his manifesto.

Babu plans to use half of his salary for bursaries if elected as MP and ensure “equal distribution of bursaries to the less fortunate in Embakasi East.”

MPs traditionally use the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to advance bursaries to the needy in their respective constituencies, but Babu hopes to add to his kitty using his salary.

In his five point agenda manifesto, Babu also plans to establish five water distribution points, one per ward.

Embakasi East has five wards; Utawala, Mihango, Embakasi South, Lower Savanna and Upper Savanna.

MONTHLY CLEAN UP

“I will lead monthly community clean up exercises in each ward to restore a clean dignified environment,” states Babu.

The outgoing student leader also plans to establish a roads committee that will ensures roads in Embakasi East are “passable and liaise with county government to tarmac roads.”

“I will institute table banking to provide cheap loans for women and youth to start and maintain business,” read the manifesto.

Babu will be running for the Embakasi East seat too face off with nine other aspirants; Bosire Philip Nyauncho (Independent), Haji Jibril Abdow (Wiper), Mwangi Mary Wangari (MCC), Nzioki Robert Kitheka (Independent), Obiende Joshua Otieno (ANC), Wambugu Francis Mureithi (Jubilee), Wangui Maina Faith (ALP-K), Waruinge Stephen Maina (Independent) and Wekesa Francis Masinde (Independent).
