Top Kenyan artistes to stage voter registration concert for youth

A concert aimed at encouraging the youth to register as voters for next year’s General Elections has attracted top Kenyan artistes.

Among the artistes who will perform at the concert dubbed Ni Show Power on Sunday at the University of Nairobi’s graduation square are SautiSol, Juliani, Sarabi and Octopizzo.

According to the organisers, the Ni Show Power will be all about the youth and future leadership and will give youths within the 18-24 years age bracket a chance to register on the day in order to vote next year.

RIGHT TO VOTE

Radio presenter and social activist, Adelle Onyango, who will also be in attendance at the concert said it is important for young Kenyans to be aware of their right to vote.

“I know how much we all love our country Kenya and besides this is the only home we have so why would we burn it? Why would we stand between Kenya and development? If you love Kenya, you will vote,” she said.

The concert has been organized by US Embassy and Goodtimes Africa.
