September 25th, 2013 1 min read

Following the tragic incident that took place at Westgate Mall, claiming nearly 70 lives and injuring many others, various initiatives have been started to help those who have been affected by the tragedy.

One initiative is the blood drive at Uhuru Park, calling out to Kenyans to come and give blood for the injured in hospital.

Among the artistes who showed up for the blood drive were Ringtone, Ecko Dydda, DJ Wesley, Juliani among others.

They told NairobiNews that they wanted to urge other artistes who have not yet come to give blood to do so as a show of solidarity with the people affected as not only are they their fans, they are also their brothers and sisters in need at this time.
