AP’s body dumped in Huruma

Police are looking for a minibus said to have dumped the body of an Administration Police officer in Huruma estate early Thursday morning.

The officer was based in Mandera East.

The body had fresh stab wounds in the stomach and neck.

According to an eyewitness, the body was thrown from a public service vehicle.

Nairobi County Deputy Police Commandant Moses Ombati said the police are yet to identify the minibus that was carrying the body.

“It is difficult for the police to identify the vehicle because the man who spotted and reported the incident did not take the car’s number plate. He just stated that it was a minibus,” Mr Ombati said.

The witness, according to the police, spotted the minibus dropping the body a few minutes past 2:00am.

The vehicle had stopped a few meters from the Huruma John Saga centre and a man dropped the body. The vehicle then sped off.

The body has been taken to the City Mortuary.

Mr Ombati appealed to members of the public to volunteer information on the incident to the police.
