Ahmednasir: Garissa attack was executed by Kenyan Somalis

Renowned lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has sensationally claimed that the deadly Garissa University attack was executed by Kenyan Somalis and not militants from Somalia.

“The attack in Garissa is obviously the work of Kenyan Somalis. Let us not blame Somalia’s Al Shabaab. This is local..indigenous and v (very) local,” he tweeted.

A total of 147 Kenyans were killed and 79 were injured in a dawn attack that lasted 17 hours.

The Al-Shabaab have already claimed responsibility for the attack.

The fiery lawyer also told leaders in Garissa to take full responsibility of the attack and “stop the senseless attacks”.

“Let us be truthful to ourselves. Kenyan Somalis and their leaders must stop the senseless killings in northern Kenya. Full stop…,” tweeted the lawyer.

“Leaders in Garissa must take political responsibility for today’s killings…and must identify the clan lineage of the killers. Full stop.”

A number of Kenyans echoed the lawyer’s sentiments. Peter Njoroge said: “Having worked in Garissa for 5 years I couldn’t agree more with your observations brother.”

James Chacha added: “Having been born, raised and schooled in Garissa I fully agree with you. We would easily know a new ‘refugee’!”
