Leopards courting Rama

Former Gor Mahia forward Rama Salim is a key mid-season transfer target for AFC Leopards, a source within Ingwe has revealed.

The Kenya international is currently churning out impressive displays at Coastal Union in Tanzania’s Vodacom League, performances that have attracted the interest of Leopards coach Zdravko Logarusic.

“Rama would assist our creative department by offering our strikers through balls towards goal. A deal is feasible and the coach is now pushing the management to make it happen as soon as possible,” a source within Leopards technical team told Nairobi News.

Logarusic and Salim have a history. The duo worked together at Gor Mahia during the latter’s first stint during the 2012 season.

After his departure from the club two years ago, the left-footed playmaker had short stints in Qatar and South Africa before settling in Tanzania.

Leopards are currently placed second on the league standings behind leaders Gor Mahia with three matches left to the midway point of the season.
