TV anchor Linda Oguttu celebrates her dad’s life
KTN news anchor Linda Oguttu on Thursday paid tribute to her departed father with a message to celebrate his life during a funeral service for the deceased.
In a clear departure from the somber mood that normally engulfs such events, the popular journalist, who was all smiles, posted a photo of herself in the company of relatives and close friends.
“Taking the remains of my father back to his people. A life well lived… Salute,” Linda wrote on her post in reference to her late father mzee Tom Ogutu.
The deceased succumbed to lung cancer on 6th March 2016 at the Meridian Hospital in Nairobi West.
“We are here to celebrate papa’s life. There is no time for tears here. It is a life well lived and he has run his race,” John Lawrence, Linda’s colleague at the Standard Group media house told Nairobi News.
Mzee Tom Ogutu will be buried at his home in Bondo, this weekend.
