KOT show love to 23-year-old Nairobi senatorial aspirant

She may be the youngest aspirant for Nairobi Senate, but that notwithstanding, Suzanne Lengewa has given Nairobians good reason to take notice of her.

During the Senatorial debate on Friday night, while bigwigs Johnson Sakaja (Jubilee) and Edwin Sifuna (ODM) slugged it out in a bid to discredit each other, Ms Lengewa stood out for her sheer eloquence.

Other candidates who participated in the debate organized by NTV at Daystar University were Rameshchandra Gorasia (Wiper), Zacharia Momanyi (Republican Liberty Party), John Wamagata (Safina) and Dennis Nthumbi (Agano Party).

“I am vying to be the senator of Nairobi because I do not want to watch from the sidelines anymore. We are really underestimated as young people, so I want to inspire young people that we need to stop limiting ourselves on what we can achieve,” said Ms Lengewa.

On Twitter, the reaction was spontaneous, with many users lauding the youthful aspirant for her strong showing during the debate.
