19 fans to be charged over Mashemeji derby chaos
Nineteen football fans will on Tuesday be charged at Milimani law courts over the chaos that led to the premature end of a premier league match between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards at Nyayo stadium.
The suspects will be charged with malicious damage to property, creating disturbance and assault causing actual bodily harm.
Troubled erupted in the 64th minute of the Sunday match when Leopards captain Jackson Saleh handled in the box and match referee awarded Gor a penalty, prompting angry Ingwe fans to disrupt the match.
