10 injured in Thika Superhighway accident

Ten people were on Thursday injured in a road accident at the Thika Superhighway near Utalli hotel.

The accident involved two Mwi-Sacco buses and a saloon car.

Nairobi county traffic commandant Edward Mwamburu said one person was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital. The rest suffered slight injuries.

Police reports said one of the buses had stalled on the highway after developing a mechanical failure.

The driver of the saloon car failed to notice the stalled bus early enough and braked suddenly as he approached it, only to be hit from behind by the second bus.
