Kenyan athlete’s fiancé pops big question on marathon finish line – VIDEO
Kenyan athlete Magdalyn Masai got a pleasant surprise when her boyfriend proposed to her after finishing a marathon.
Jake Robertson of New Zealand finished second in the Great North Run, after being beaten by British Olympic hero Mo Farah on Sunday.
But when his girlfriend Magdalyn went to congratulate him, Robertson went down on one knee and popped the big question with TV cameras trained on them.
Magdalyn finished fourth in the women’s event.

The crowd can be heard going hysterical as it dawns on them that love was in the air.
Magdalyn, who was clearly caught off-guard, said “yes”.
“In the last mile it just randomly came to my mind that today was the day,” said Robertson thereafter.
