Gor Mahia coach Kerr caught up in ‘drunk driving’ row

By NAHASHON MUSUNGU September 11th, 2017 1 min read

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has sensationally accused police officers of demanding a bribe from him over what they claimed was a ‘fine’ for drunk driving.

In a damning revelation on Twitter, the Englishman claimed the incident happened after the police and NTSA wrongfully accused his driver of taking the wheel under the influence of alcohol.

Nairobi News understands this development occurred after Kerr had led his team to a 4-0 in over Nzoia United in a SportPesa Premier League match in Kisumu over the weekend.

Kerr has barely been in the country for two months, having arrived at K’Ogalo in July 2017 as a replacement for Brazilian trainer Ze Maria.

Formerly at Tanzanian club Simba, Kerr has made the best possible start at the club, and remains unbeaten in five league matches, having won in four of them.

As part of his contractual obligation, the Kenyan giants have hired a car and driver to chauffeur him to work and on personal errands.
