Englishman Stewart Hall arrives in Nairobi to take charge of AFC Leopards

Incoming AFC Leopards coach Stewart Hall has arrived in the country and is expected to be unveiled on Friday morning.

The Englishman arrived in Nairobi on Thursday afternoon from his home country via Dubai.

Having agreed a deal in principle to join the giant Kenyan Premier League club last week, Hall – formerly at the helm of Tanzanian side Azam FC – is expected to formally take charge of first team affairs after penning a two year contract.

TRANSFORM THE CLUB

“I am excited about the prospect of making a return to Kenyan football, and if all goes well, the aim here is to transform this wonderful club into a successful one,” Hall, who has previously coached KPL side Sofapaka, said.

Leopards chairman Dan Mule, who was at hand to receive Hall at the airport explained said: “We are banking on him to deliver. He will have all the support from my team and there is no doubt that he will bring us titles because he has been delivering elsewhere.”

Hall will not take charge of Friday’s league match against Sofapaka in Machakos, but could debut on the dugout during next week’s potentially explosive match against title contenders Tusker FC.
