Mystery surrounds an embarrassing incident where Harambee Stars’ captain Victor Wanyama’s father was barred from accessing the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County, venue of the thrilling friendly action between Kenya and DR Congo.
The embarrassing incident was confirmed by the Ministry of Sports, via its official Twitter handle.

Noah Wanyama was eventually allowed access into the 8,000-seater stadium and from a vintage point at the VIP stands, he sat a few rows behind the chief guest Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.
He watched as his son captain the national team to a historic 2-1 victory against the Africa Cup of Nations Champions.
The Nairobi News has since established that Wanyama senior, who was driving a silver Toyota Voxy, could have been stopped from accessing the stadium by a group of goons affiliated to a local football club in which he has in the past served as an administrator.
This in the wake of differences between Wanyama senior, himself a former Kenya international, and the current office.
Wanyama senior could not be reached for comment by press time.
