Outrage over Lupita’s photo in Vanity Fair magazine
Popular fashion magazine Vanity Fair has come under criticism for allegedly lightening the skin colour of 30-year old film star Lupita Nyong’o.
In a sneak peak tweet for the magazine’s February edition, Lupita skin appears unnaturally lighter than in other pictures and the twitter world soon started bombarding the magazine for an explanation which has not been forthcoming.
Although some have pointed out that it could be a lighting issue, it remains doubtful that such a detail could have gone unnoticed in an industry that is obsessed with image details.
