Why this Eldoret man dresses up like a woman – VIDEO
A man is making a name for himself on the streets of Eldoret town by dressing up and acting like a woman, attracting a horde of admirers in the process.
The man, John Ngugi, who is a loader in the town’s CBD is famous for dressing up as woman with make-up, sunglasses and a handbag coupled with a street catwalk that leaves many women in awe of his womanlike behaviour.
“I used to sell potatoes on a kiondo while at the same time amusing people through my humour. The people got to love for my humour and that how I discovered my talent,” Mr Ngugi says.
According to Mr Ngugi, his parents and friends used to tell him that he behaves like a woman and he took it as a compliment and decided to impersonate women. He also says he used to take up the role of women in schools drama.
“This is the simplest way to earn money without sweat. I have not stolen from anybody. People love what I do and they give me some little cash in appreciation and I walk home a happy man,” he says.
Recently, men in different towns have dressed like women. One from Nyeri was found in Githurai is said to have been pretending to be twilight girl and stealing from men.
