Why Moses Kuria now feels betrayed by Sakaja
Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria is not a happy man.
He feels betrayed by his friend Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja who shocked foe and ally over the weekend by securing the release of Embakasi East MP Babu Owino from Parklands police station.
Mr Kuria took to Facebook on Monday to lament at the ‘betrayal’ by Sakaja who has been his friend for more than 10 years and yet never visited him in a police station during his many run-ins with the law.
“I look forward to the day my friend Sen Johnson Sakaja will come to visit me in cell. Do not even secure my release. Just bring me a bowl of porridge. Sulking is human, isn’t it? After all we have worked together for over a decade now,”
This is not the first time Moses Kuria has faulted Mr Sakaja’s otherwise gracious acts.
In October last year, MR Kuria called for disciplinary action against Sakaja after the latter rescued Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch from an angry mob in a city hotel.
Mr Oluoch had been involved in an ugly confrontation with Jubilee leaders over remarks made by Elgeyo Markwet Senator Kipkomen Murkomen at a press briefing.
In the ensuing melee, Senator Sakaja rescued Mr Oluoch from a group of men who had roughed him up.
