Could this tweet explain why DP Ruto skipped running mates debate?
A tweet by the Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday evening gave out the biggest hint of his intent to snub the running mates debate that took place Monday night.
Mr William Ruto and Kalonzo Musyoka from the National Super Alliance of Kenya (Nasa) were both a no show during the debate.
The tweet by the Deputy President on Sunday had the tale tale signs of him not attending the debate.
In the tweet, he expressed his reservations that no none had yet to contact him on the logistics of the debate. However, Debate Media Limited, organizers of the debates, insisted all parties were informed formally of the dates, time and rules of the debates.
I am surprised no one has engaged me on the debate. Courtesy demands that date, time, rules of engagement would have been made available.
