Tecno Mobile launches latest ‘selfie phone’ in Nairobi
The latest Tecno mobile phone Camon C9 – an upgrade of Camon C8 – has been launched in Kenya.
The new phone, which was launched in Nairobi on Friday, has been been dubbed the ‘selfie phone’ because it comes with an amazing 13 megapixels camera and an LED flash on the front and back with an enhanced capability to capture clear perfect images in the dark.
Tecno project manager Mr Dickson Ireri told Nairobi News that it is the right time to introduce the phone into the Kenyan market after a very successful year with the C8.
“We interacted with our customers and asked them what they wanted to be added to the latest phone and we got the impression that most of them wanted a better front camera. We just did what the masses wanted,” Mr Ireri said.

He added that the phone’s other added advantages are amazing features at an affordable price.
“Tecno Camon C9 promises to give users value for their money. The Tecno C-series continues after the Camon C5 and C8,” Mr Ireri added.
One of the features that Tecno has added to ensure user get that perfect selfie is the lighting on the Camon C9.
For the ladies, it will also eliminate the need for a quick look-over in the mirror before a selfie due to its improved real-time beauty feature.
Users can look forward to a variety of up to eight natural makeup styles on offer for a guaranteed like magnet of a photo.
