REVEALED: Details of State House Girls Sh100k Dubai trip

State House Girls High School has asked parents of students who wish to go for a school trip in Dubai to pay Sh100,000 for the August excursion.

In a letter which has been shared on social media and has generated a buzz, the Nairobi school is asking parents to sponsor their children and ensure they have acquired passports by early May.

The letter which was sent to parents on February 16, reads in part:

“We would also like to request you to support your daughter towards this trip. The total cost of the trip is Ksh 100,000. This will cater for return air ticket, airport transfers, 5 nights hotel accommodation Regal Plaza Hotel, Dubai Visa and Travel Insurance. You can make staggered payments towards this trip as soon as possible.”

The five day trip will include activities like Dubai city tours, Dhow cruise with dinner, desert safari, Dubai aquarium and underwater zoo, a full day of wild Wadi Water Park and shopping.

According to Regal Plaza Hotel website, the hotel is located at Al Mankhool Road, Al Hamriya, Bur Dubai, Near Al Fahidi Metro Station.

The prices of the rooms at the hotel go for between Sh6,500 to Sh9,500 per night.
