Outrage over Sonko’s rant on Citizen TV interview
Kenyans online went ham on Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko over his disparaging remarks on live television towards his archrival in the Nairobi’s gubernatorial race Peter Kenneth.
Senator Sonko, in the interview on Citizen TV, ruled out any possibility of stepping down or working with Mr Kenneth.
The flamboyant senator used unbecoming language to describe the former presidential aspirant, even as the show’s host Hussein Mohammed tried on several occasions to call for decorum.
Mr Mohammed kept telling the senator “point taken” as his guest kept on ranting of how some power brokers are trying to stop him from vying.
The Senator’s outburst sparked an uproar online.

It was unfortunate to see #SONKO display his ignorance and lack of decorum on #SundayLive. It will be shameful to have him as governor NRB
