I did not score a D minus in KCSE, says Joho


Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has dismissed as fake a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education result slip indicating that a certain Ali Hassan scored a D – (minus) in his national exams.

Through Mombasa County’s Director of Communications Richard Chacha, the governor clarified that his full name was not as indicated on the result slip.

“His name is Hassan Ali Joho not Ali Hassan. That is fake,” said Mr Chacha. The certificate has been trending on social media with the hashtag #JohoTheDMinusGovernor rising to number two trending topic on Twitter.

RESULT SLIP

As per the result slip doing the rounds on social media, a certain Ali Hassan sat his KCSE exams at Serani Secondary School in 1993 and attained a D- (minus) mean grade.

The said Hassan posted among other grades, D plain in English, Kiswahili and History and Government.

He also scored three E’s in Physical Science, Biological Science and Mathematics, according to the slip signed by KNEC’s Ag CEO G. Karongo.

This is not the first time, Governor Joho’s academic qualifications are facing scrutiny from the public. Previously, the feisty governor’s university credentials have been challenged.
