Miguna takes on Raila; sticks to sabotage claims against Ndii, Magaya

By MAC OTANI February 19th, 2018 1 min read

Deported opposition lawyer Miguna Miguna stood by his claims linking NASA strategist Dr David Ndii and lawyer Norman Magaya to a ploy to sabotage the opposition outfit and its leader Raila Odinga.

Mr Miguna, who is currently residing in Canada, maintains that his assertions in a note posted on his official Facebook page about Dr Ndii and Mr Magaya are true in substance and in fact.

The self-proclaimed “General” of NRM, an arm of Nasa, fired the response in a post on his official twitter handle after Mr Odinga declared his confidence in Dr Ndii and Mr Magaya.

“I stand by my note to David Ndii and Norman Magaya, which has not been denied,” Mr Miguna tweeted.

“We are going to liberate Kenya from the despots with truth, honesty, integrity and courage; not lies. Jubilee Party despots are the enemy. Let’s march on!” He then added defiantly.

Mr Miguna earlier also alleged Dr Ndii had threatened to lead a walkout of Kalonzo Musyoka and other Nasa leaders in a tiff over the January 30 swearing in of Mr Raila as the “people’s president.”

In his response earlier, Mr Raila dismissed the claims by the deported lawyer and his former aide as “unfortunate and detrimental to the cause.”

“We wish to make it clear that as a coalition, we have full confidence in Dr Ndii and Mr Magaya who have dedicated time and resources working for Nasa’s cause,” Mr Odinga said.

It remains to be seen how the in-fighting that is rocking Nasa will play out.
