Man kills wife and her lover after catching them in their matrimonial bed

Police in Kigumo have launched a manhunt for a man who they suspect of killing his wife and another man after finding them in their matrimonial bed naked.

According to their 12-year-old son, who witnessed the Monday 4am incident, his father, who is a watchman at Kanderendu Shopping Center, came home and said he wanted to sleep.

But when he entered the bedroom, the boy said, he found another man in bed with his wife. When he demanded for an explanation, but his wife remained speechless.

“My father started clobbering both my mother and the other man with a wooden bar while at the same time attacking them with a dagger,” the traumatized boy said.

The boy added that he jumped through the window to seek help from the neigbours but it was too late since by the time they arrived his father had fled while the two had been dumped under the bed.

Kigumo OCPD Ibrahim Mchumwa confirmed the incident saying the deceased woman was a tea picker and resided in a servant’s quarters with her husband who works as a night guard.

IN BED NAKED

The police boss said according to the preliminary investigations, the man killed his wife and the other man due to provocation on finding them in his matrimonial bed naked.

“The deceased woman has been identified by the young boy as his mother but the man found alongside her body is yet to be identified,” the OCPD said noting that both had been stabbed in their backsides.

He said they have launched a manhunt for the man who he said was still in the vicinity since he had been seen by the locals at around 7am.

Locals who gathered at the scene condemned the act urging couples to remain faithful to their spouses to avoid more deaths due to infidelity.

Nominated MCA Jane Muigai said while wives should remain faithful to their husbands, men should seek alternative ways to resolve disputes rather than resorting to murder.

“It is unfortunate that the woman died such a death due to adultery but then men should not take law into their own hands they should seek better ways to resolve their issues or even separate,” said Ms Muigai.
