KTN anchor’s stolen vehicle recovered with fake plates, colleague arrested

A stolen vehicle belonging to KTN anchor Doreen Biira has been recovered and a colleague with two other suspects arrested.

The motor vehicle of registration number KBY 831K Mercedes Benz was recovered in Kisumu on Friday at a car wash.

The vehicle was however found bearing fake number plates.

Three suspects have been arrested and have been booked at the Makadara Division, Industrial Area Police Station.

Makadara OCPD Jeremiah Langat said one of the suspect is Aaron Ochieng, a workmate of the complainant.

He was arrested with two watchmen who were on duty at the time of the vehicle’s disappearance at Standard Group’s headquarters parking yard along Mombasa road.

According to the police report, Ms Biira parked her car at the yard but later realized her keys were missing from her desk.

She went to check whether her vehicle was at the parking yard only to find it missing.

According to the police, she immediately reported the same to security and transport officer, who conducted another check at the gate and established that the motor vehicle had left.
