Kenyans online are doing their own commendations after a list of people awarded the Head of State Commendations on Jamhuri Day appeared online.

The President’s list featured, among others, bloggers Pauline Njoroge, Dennis Itumbi, Robert Alai, Martin Kamotho Njenga better known as Githeri Man and musician Rufftone (real name Roy Smith Mwita).

Online users expressed their disapproval over the some of the some of the listed recipients, while at the same time faulting President Uhuru Kenyatta for ignoring Kenyans who have genuinely contributed to the country’s development.
