Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili aka Babu Owino and his Starehe counterpart Charles Njagua alias Jaguar on Tuesday afternoon exchanged blows at parliament’s media center.

Moments just after the afternoon session started, Mr Owino walked in the media center where journalists were keenly following the tabling of the Elections Amendments Law report.

He greeted journalists then proceeded to the office of the parliamentary Media Relations Officers.

Moments later, Jaguar walked in asking “where is this Babu?”

A scuffle ensued leading to a fist fight. They were separated by parliamentary orderlies.

“We will teach you a lesson you Babu, you must respect the President,” Jaguar was heard shouting in melee.

Babu responded: “Which President? The only President I know is Raila Odinga.”

The two were whisked away by the parliamentary orderlies.

As is the normal procedure of parliament, the two will appear before the Powers and Privileges Committee where they risk being suspended from attending House sittings for a while.
