Gun drama as police tried to block Nasa principal from Supreme Court – VIDEO

There was drama outside the Supreme Court after police officers attempted to block Nasa principal Moses Wetangula and his bodyguard from accessing the court.

The police officers argued that firearms are prohibited in the premises of the court and at some pointed attempted to forcibly disarm Mr Wetangula’s bodyguard .

The Nasa brigade, led by Raila Odinga were making their way to the court when they were blocked at the main gate.

Mr Odinga demanded that the gate be opened to allow him and his team entry.

“I am the one who brought the case and I’m the one who decides who comes with me,” said Mr Odinga.

The police officer eventually opened the gate for the Nasa brigade.

But as Mr Odinga and his team were almost entering the building, three officers again accosted Mr Wetangula’s bodyguard and attempted to forcibly disarm him.

A notice on the door reads; “No arms beyond this point.”

“This boy is a security officer like yourself,” Musalia Mudavadi told the officers.

The bodyguard was eventually escorted out of the court’s premise as the Nasa delegation entered the court.
