Five sure ways of getting rid of a beer pot belly

Bellies have become synonymous with not only the Nairobi man but also the women. Excessive fat in the abdomen often referred to as a pot comes as a result of unhealthy habits but is reversible through the following routines;

1. Clean eating – This does not mean fasting or skipping meals, you should ensure you stick to your normal eating routine and only alter the content. For carbohydrates, go for complex ones such as whole grains instead of processed ones like white bread. For proteins, leaner ones such as fish are recommended as opposed to beef. Embrace boiling and baking as opposed to frying.

2. Ab workout – Exercises are key to any healthy body but to emphasise on the belly area, it is important for one to engage in exercises that target the specific muscles. Some of the exercises that work for the tummy area include planks, sit ups and ball exercises.

3. Cardio workout – Its important to tighten the muscles using cardio exercises that include running on the track or treadmill and skipping. Swimming is also very good for those aiming to loose fat around the belly area. Cardio concentrates on the entire body as opposed to one area like the ab workout.

4. Cut on sugars – Sugars are known to be detrimental for weight loss and especially when taken in excess as some is converted into glucose or fat. Instead of taking sugary drinks, green teas are recommended for burning belly fat.

5. Consistency –  It is important to religiously follow all the above lifestyle changes so as to see the benefits to your tummy. If you fail to observe clean eating and exercises the fat is likely to remain in the belly area.
