Ex-street boy offers to ‘help’ Safaricom prevent hacking

A man is claiming to have the solution that will help telecommunication company Safaricom deal with hacking cases.

Dalton Saitoti, a former street boy, has been walking on the streets of Nairobi with a placard seeking an audience with Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore.

Saitoti says he is willing to reveal the secret of stopping other hackers from accessing the service provider’s subscribers’ personal information.

He also claims to be able to hack into people’s phone and access their M-Pesa and Bonga Points. All he needs is someone’s phone number and the process can happen regardless of which part of the country you are in.

HACKING SKILLS

“I went to Safaricom House and I was only allowed to meet with a certain Patrick Kinoti. I even demonstrated to him on how I can withdraw cash from his M-Pesa account without his pin number, but he still refused to allow me to see Mr Collymore,” says Saitoti.

The Form Two dropout claims he has never worked as an IT professional, and that he only learnt the craft by experimenting with a friend’s number.

“I am a creative genius. I just want to meet the Safaricom boss, not to ask for a job but explain to him how he can be able to close the loopholes. I have a solution to the problem,” he said during an interview with Nairobi News.

However, he says that his hacking experience has only been successful with Safaricom users and that he is yet to try it on other service providers in the market.
