Baby allegedly strangled by house help buried
An eight month old baby who was allegedly strangled by a house help in Umoja estate, Nairobi was laid to rest in Kangundo, Machakos County on Monday.
The circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of baby Stefani Nzisa, however, still remain unclear with the house help accused of committing the crime and another woman still in police custody.
Buruburu DCIO Jeremiah Ikiao said investigations into the baby’s death are almost complete and that the two suspects will be arraigned in court on Monday to face murder charges.
“The two women are in our custody and will be taken to court on Monday after investigations have been finalized,” Mr Ikiao told Nairobi News.

Little Stefani was left with a newly employed house help on Wednesday May 18, 2016 when the incident occurred.
According to family sources, the child was found by the mother’s sister at the family home foaming from the mouth after the mother, Bancy Wairimu, had asked to have the child brought to her work place.
When questioned by the family after the incident happened, the house help said that the baby had fallen from the seat and hurt her head.
However, the family says that a postmortem report by Dr Johannes Oduor indicate that the baby’s body exhibited signs of strangulation. The postmortem report also showed spots on both sides of the baby’s cheeks.
