How corporates are riding on the ‘Githeri man’ fad
Kenyan corporates are not being left out of the online excitement sparked by the now famous Martin Kamotho Njenga, better known as the githeri man.
Mr Njenga was queuing patiently waiting for his turn to vote at the Imara Primary School polling station in Kayole when the hunger pangs struck and he decided to go get himself some githeri.
The simple polythene bag of githeri that he held when the picture was taken has spurred him to overnight fame.
Here are some of the corporates that are riding on the fad. Some have even offered him expensive gifts including mobile phones, free holiday trips and new suits.
