A house help is said to have committed suicide at her employer’s house in Buruburu Phase IV on Sunday.

The help, identified as Perpetua King’ori, 22, was alone in the house located at Elgero Court, as the rest of the family had gone to church and for an outing.

Police said her employer returned at 10.30pm only to find Ms King’ori’s body lying on the floor of the sitting room.

“Upon searching the house, the police found two bottles of an unlabelled pesticide—one empty and another full in her bedroom,” Buruburu OCPD Geoffrey Maiyek said.

Mr Maiyek said police also found a knife in the woman’s bedroom adding that the circumstances surrounding the suicide were unclear.

The body was taken to city mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
