Baby dies after slipping from mum’s back during couple’s fight
A fight between a man and his wife turned tragic when their child slipped from the mother’s back and died on Sunday in Lunga Lunga, Nairobi.
Police said the mother was carrying the toddler piggyback when her husband picked a fight with her.
Simon Wanjohi, 27, was fighting with his wife Caroline Nduta in their house when their one-and-half-year-old baby girl slipped and fell to her death.
Baby Blessing Wambui is suspected to have died of internal injuries. The man disappeared immediately after the incident and has not been traced.
The body was transferred to City Funeral Home awaiting a postmortem.
