7 Reasons why Trump is wrong for the world
On 20 January 2017 – that’s in a three days’ time – Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States of America.
To say that Trump is the right person to lead the world’s greatest nation is like denying gravity. But he is here, so how about a look at just how wrong he is.
1. Trump punched his music teacher
According to Michael D’Antonio, Trump’s biographer and the author of The Truth about Trump, Donald Trump was a rowdy and rebellious young man. So rebellious that he had to be moved from Kew-Forest Preparatory School in Queens to New York Military Academy for punching his teacher and giving him a black eye because, Trump says, “I didn’t think he knew anything about music.”
2. He is the only two time divorcee to get into the White House
Personal affairs of US presidents is a big deal. The idea that a man should have an organized house first before trying to organize the nation is one that Americans hold dear. It is the reason Hilary stayed with Clinton after the Monica Lewinsky affair, otherwise, Bill Clinton would have been removed from office had she decided to leave. Though some one time divorced Presidents have been elected before (on account of their existing fresh stable marriages), Donald Trump is the first American President to have been through two divorces and well settled into the third marriage.
3. Trump lusts after his daughter
During an interview with Rolling Stone trump wondered out loud, what he would do to his daughter-Ivanka if he was not her father. He said, “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father…”
4. Building the Wall between Mexico and America
The last wall to totally scare the world was the Berlin Wall. Built overnight on August 13 1961 and it stayed up for a record 28 years. Not one German citizen wants to talk about that wall to date. The concrete wall had a strip known as the death strip. The wall was to prevent thousands of East Germans from fleeing into the Democratic West.
Fast forward to 2017, Donald Trump has sworn to build a wall to prevent Mexicans from entering the US.
“I will build a great, great wall on our Southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words,” he said during his campaign.
The world was scandalized but people thought it was campaign rhetoric. Now that he is coming in, it appears to be a reality. This will be the world’s second most threatening and divisive wall in years.
5. Deporting undocumented immigrants
There are currently over 11 million undocumented immigrants living and working in the US. That cousin of yours is probably one of them. Trump has promised to forcefully round them up, and expel them. That is 6 percent of the US workforce.
6. Donald Trump is a political greenhorn
Donald Trump is a known successful businessman. But he has never held any political office, never served in the military and has never been appointed to a political office. In short Trump has zero political experience. Something that might cost America a lot more than his making of foreign policy decisions via Twitter. Russia and Vladimir Putin are already running circles around him. If His lack of political experience becomes a liability, the rest of the world will suffer alongside the US.
7. Complete disrespect to women
Donald Trump doesn’t think much of women. A fact that many people believe will undermine the gains made by feminists and progressives the world over. Over the period of his campaign, Trump made a bunch of condescending remarks about powerful and regular women.
He said that if Hilary Clinton were a man, she wouldn’t mange to secure 5 percent of the votes. He said of Megyn Kelly, the Fox host (She announced that she’d be moving to NBC News on January 3 2017), that ‘you could see blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.’
In the past he called women disgusting animals. And he said what he’d like to do when he sees a beautiful woman is to grab them by the ***.
Then there is the recent leaks of Russian intelligence reports over alleged lewd sexual acts he engaged in when he visited Moscow- check under Trump Golden Showers, and send your morals out of the room.
