MultiChoice subscribers enjoy screening of Disney Junior’s new show

Multichoice Kenya through its DStv and GOtv brands and in collaboration with Disney Africa, gave their subscribers a rare treat as they hosted an exclusive screening of Disney Junior’s brand new animated children’s television series Mickey and the Roadster Racers at the Westgate Mall last weekend.

The series, which will air every Saturday at 09:30 on Disney Junior (DStv Channel 309 and GOtv Channel 60) from April 22, takes Mickey and the gang, along with their unique transforming vehicles, on humorous high-spirited races around the globe, as well as hometown capers in Hot Dog Hills.

Off the racetrack, Minnie and Daisy also run their own successful business as Happy Helpers, solving problems for anyone in need of a helping hand.

Geared towards kids aged 2-7, the stories are designed to impart social and emotional lessons about friendship, teamwork, optimism and good sportsmanship.

MultiChoice Kenya Corporate Affairs Manager, Philip Wahome commented that Multichoice Kenya is committed to collaborations with broadcasters like Disney Africa to ensure subscribers continue to enjoy the experience.

More than 300 children in attendance were treated to a wide range of entertainment activities including an activity station with activity sheets for cutting and sticking and coloring for the children, photo sessions with Mickey and the Roadster Racers characters, a roadster racers podium amongst others.

A themed activity area complete with dummy characters from the show was also created for the children.

The animation special premiered on Disney Junior (DStv Channel 309) and (GOtv Channel 60) on Saturday 22 April, 2017 at 09.00am CAT and features Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Pluto – as they race around Hot Dog Hills and around the world.
