Local Universities to benefit from Infinix mentorship


Students from five local universities will beginning next month benefit from mentorship programmes courtesy of mobile phone manufacturer Infinix.

The first phase of the initiative, dubbed Infinix Na Comrades, will run throughout the month of July with a second phase scheduled for September.

The aim of the programme is to appreciate mobile photography among young people especially university students.

Infinix will roll out the programe this weekend at Moi University to coincide with Mr and Miss Moi University event.

Other universities which will benefit include Multi Media University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Art and Technology – Karen campus and Mount Kenya University.

The students chosen for the programme will have the opportunity of being mentored by top professional photographers in the country.

“The is a mentorship programme whose long-term goal will include enabling students to meet top professional photographers in Kenya for a learning experience,” said Cynthia Njiru of Infinix.

“The company understands that photography is a skill and therefore what could be better than having an opportunity to learn from the professionals?” she added.

During the campaign students will have a chance to win various giveaways, including Infinix Zero3, NoteLTE and Hot3LTE.
