‘Reformed’ Bahati vows never to sit on president’s chair
After being roundly criticized by netizens, gospel singer Bahati has eaten humble pie and promised never to sit on the president’s chair or any other chair that might be intended for a dignitary.
Bahati’s confession was recorded on phone by fellow musician Rufftone, who also advised the singer to present himself with discipline and poise in future.
“I actually met Bahati and I told him moving forward, you might find yourself in the midst of people like, Hillary Clinton and (Donald) Trump and you should take them slowly,” Rufftone said.

‘FORGOT PROTOCOL’
Speaking during an interview on NTV’s morning show AM Live, Rufftone further advised all artistes to respect the administration and people in power especially the president.
Rufftone’s revelation comes two weeks after Bahati shocked the nation when he pulled President Uhuru Kenyatta from his seat and proceeding to sit on it as he did a live performance of his hit Mama during the launch of Jubilee Party at the Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani.
His unprecedented action stirred a heated online debate as Kenyans expressed their opinion over the incident.
But Bahati would later say that he forgot protocol during that moment even as he christened himself the “shortest serving president.”
