Former Citizen TV anchor Terry Anne Chebet has revealed that her second child was born on the date she was kicked out of Royal Media Services.

Ms Chebet was sacked in November 2016 as part of the company’s effort to downsize the workforce.

On Wednesday, she took to Instagram and posted a picture of her new born captioning it; “a mother’s joy begins when new life is stirring inside… When a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds her that she is never alone.”

She added; “She arrived on the 26th of October. On the exact date last year I received a letter informing me of my retrenchment. Is it just a co-incidence? God does have an incredible sense of humour. I am truly and deeply thankful.”

This is her second child, her first born daughter is in her teens.

The celebrated TV anchor had in January appeared on NTV’s weekly show The Trend, where she admitted that being laid off was devastating as it came when she was at the prime of her career.

“We all knew there was going to be downsizing but you never think its going to be you. So you are never really ready and there is alot of tears involved,” she said.
