Sauti Sol and Fally Ipupa to collabo at Coke Studio

Kenya’s leading boy band Sauti Sol have teamed up with Congolese top rhumba artiste Fally Ipupa for a collabo during Season Four of Coke Studio Africa TV show.

The pairing is undoubtedly the show’s most avant-garde. Sauti Sol expressed their enthusiasm about the collabo with one of Africa’s top artistes.

“We are proud to work with Fally Ipupa. This is a statement to our Live and Die in Afrika motto. The best of entertainment and music can be made right here in Africa,” Sauti Sol said.

COUNTRIES REPRESENTED

Sauti Sol and Fally Ipupa’s collaboration will be produced by Nigerian hit-maker Masterkraft who will also be responsible for producing Ghana’s Efya and Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo collabo.

Fally is representing the Democratic Republic of Congo, one of the six new countries added onto the show set to premiere in October 2016.

Artistes from Ethiopia, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon and Ivory Coast will also be among the participants.

All the artistes will be directed by the renowned South African record producer, pianist, composer and Coke Studio Africa’s new music director Mpho Pholo aka 37mph.
