Monday night’s world premiere of the movie Black Panther at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre was a well-coordinated colorful celebration of black excellence.

The movie, which also stars among others Oscar Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, had a “royal attire requested” dress code for the invited guests who delivered in style.

In keeping with the royal attire theme, the guests hit the purple-hued carpet in a kaleidoscopic display of regal, Africa-inspired fashion.
