A Kenyan charity that protects Africa’s elephants from ivory poaching and extinction will benefit from the net proceeds of a new mobile cellphone device that was recently unveiled by American comedian, Jimmy Fallon.

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which is one of the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world, will benefit from sales of Fallon’s new iPhone case that doubles as a pocket square.

The host of the popular The Tonight Show, who is also an actor, singer, writer and producer, partnered with J. Crew in designing the pocket square that takes the shape of a clip on to the leather case, which can be used for the iPhone 6 or 6S.

The Trust, a pioneering conservation organizations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa, was founded in 1977 by Dr Dame Daphne Sheldrick D.B.E, in honour of the memory of her late husband, famous naturalist and founding Warden of Tsavo East National Park, David Leslie William Sheldrick MBE.

The Trust embraces all measures that compliment the conservation, preservation and protection of wildlife including anti-poaching, safe guarding the natural environment and enhancing community awareness.

Its also involved in addressing animal welfare issues, providing veterinary assistance to animals in need, rescuing and hand rearing elephant and rhino orphans, along with other species that can ultimately enjoy a quality of life in wild terms when grown.

Conservationists have predicted that at the current rate of elephant poaching, with an estimated one elephant killed every 15 minutes for its ivory, a lack of action could see an extinction of the species in Africa by 2025.
